False. The first local bus service was provided by Lubbock Bus Co. in 1932.

c. 1920. Twenty blocks around the courthouse were paved in bricks. Concrete began being used in 1930.

4. Lubbock’s first bank opened in 1910 and was known as the Bank of Lubbock.

False. The Bank of Lubbock opened on Aug. 5, 1901. It was incorporated as First National Bank on April 7, 1902. The building was among the first brick structures in Lubbock and was located at the corner of Main Street and Texas Avenue.
