The Lubbock Lake Landmark, located on North Indiana Avenue at the juncture of Clovis Highway and Loop 289, contains scientific evidence of human occupation on the Llano Estacado going back 12,000 years.
The landmark, which has been designated a national historic site, covers more than 300 acres. In the 1970s, the landmark became known internnationally and began attracting researchers from around the world.
